Portfolio : NH Beach House
After tearing down the previously existing cottage, this NH beach house was built from the ground up. The owners wanted a new, energy-efficient home, and a place they could eventually spend their retirement.
Built around an open concept, the kitchen and family room are a shared space with oak flooring and recessed lighting throughout.
The kitchen has custom cabinets with pull-out racks, utilizing spaces that would normally be inaccessible in normal cabinetry. A wraparound granite countertop acts as kitchen counter, eating area, and a bar for entertaining.
The downstairs master bedroom features a walk-in closet and steam shower, while upstairs are two bedrooms, a second family room, and a full bath. Windows over the stairway maximize the use of natural light.
The year-round porch is particularly loved by the owners, who apparently use it so much that they call themselves the "Porch People".
